You have a new home and now need to arrange the move. But how much did you actually spend on the move? It's not surprising if you have no idea. It is difficult to give a general answer to this question. There are big differences per case because no move is the same. Do you have a lot of furniture to move and does it include special pieces, such as a grand piano? Or is it an apartment? Is a removal lift required or can everything be done via stairs or lift (or do you live on the ground floor). These are all things that play a role in calculating the costs of your move.
How much time does a move take?
At Moving Company Snelle Boys, a move is always advantageous. However, the total amount may vary. It just depends on how many hours and how much material and manpower we have to deploy. Once we have laid this down in a quotation, this is fixed and you will not be faced with any surprises. In consultation with you, we determine what we will do for you (and what not) and how many hours will be involved.
Estimation of the number of hours in consultation
Because it is not always possible for the layman to estimate how many hours are involved in certain activities, we are happy to help you with that. With our many years of experience, we know how to make an accurate estimate of the number of hours required for the various activities, such as packing, loading, unpacking and assembly. We also have insight into things that you may overlook.
This way you can determine yourself what the approximate price of the move will be. This way you can make a conscious choice with regard to the approach to the move.
Factors that influence the price of the move
Below we list a number of factors that influence the price of your move.
- How much do you do yourself?
For example, do you pack and unpack everything yourself?
If you do a lot yourself and prepare well for the move, the costs can be lower.
- Difficulty of the move.
For example, do you live in an apartment that is difficult to reach? If the movers have to make a lot of effort to get large furniture down because the windows are too small, or if they have to perform other complex actions, it will of course take time. Small alleys are also not really relocation-friendly and can complicate the relocation. But you can count on our experience and creativity to bring your move to a successful conclusion in the most efficient way, even if you don't live in a standard terraced house.

Such as cleaning, packing and unpacking boxes.
We can take care of additional jobs, such as packing, assembly and disassembly, cleaning, etc., but at an additional cost. We also provide other handyman services related to the move at our hourly rate.
- Distance
From The Hague to the other home
We charge a realistic mileage allowance. The longer the ride, the higher the price will be.
Our flexibility
At Fast Boys moving company we are flexible in providing our services. What you can do yourself, you do yourself, if you choose this. This allows you to save considerably. Do you want to outsource literally everything and not have to worry about your move? Then that is also possible, but of course you pay extra for that. We can pack and unpack everything for you and, for example, hang lamps and connect equipment. For people who work full time or have small children, it is so easy to outsource many of these jobs. However, if you take on that work yourself, it will of course be much cheaper.
Transparent price structure
Transparency is of paramount importance to us, which is why you can view the rates for each part of the move. For example, there are separate costs for manpower, the use of means of transport and additional services. Based on these rates, you can already make an estimate of the costs you can expect and think about the way in which you want to shape the move.

Our rates
We use very competitive rates and still offer a very professional move with dedicated professionals.
For moving work we charge € 26 per hour per mover. The minimum purchase is 2 hours. If you also need transport, including the moving van, we charge € 85 per two movers per hour, with three movers that will be € 115, and if you want to work with a team of four movers, the rate is € 145. - per hour. Do you want to carry boxes yourself? No problem, everything we don't have to do makes it cheaper for you.
Moving van or just moving help?
Of course you will not be able to do without a moving van and this is therefore included in the quote per hour. For a larger move, the rate is somewhat more favorable than for a small move:
The moving van costs € 80 per hour for a small move up to 4 hours. If you need more hours, this costs € 120 per 2 hours.
Just need extra hands?
Do you want to do a lot yourself, do you already have a moving van, but are you in need of extra hands? Then use our separate moving help. Our movers work professionally and quickly at an affordable rate. This way you can successfully complete your do-it-yourself move, even if there is not enough manpower available.
Additional services: cleaning
You may want to leave the old house tidy and therefore have it cleaned thoroughly. Or perhaps the new home deserves a cleaning, for example because renovation dust has settled. Then we can be of service to you through our cleaning service. For an hour of thorough cleaning, the price is € 21 per hour.
Call-out costs can be calculated depending on the distance to be covered.
The moving elevator
Sometimes it's a choice, but often it's just necessary, the moving lift. Especially in a multi-storey apartment on the third floor in a house without a lift, the removal lift is the solution to get boxes and furniture downstairs quickly and safely. If the lift has to be rented, we charge an hourly rate of € 60. On the other hand, the elevator will make the move much faster. An investment that can amply pay for itself!
Tips to keep your move affordable
– Check whether you may be entitled to a relocation allowance from your work. If you move closer to your work, you may be able to receive compensation for this. So find out.
– Tidy up your house before you move. The less clutter, the less time is wasted. Start this well in advance, so that only those items are packed and taken that you actually want to take with you to your new home.
– Sell stuff you don't take with you. For example, hold an open house where people can buy your furniture and other items that do not go to the new house and take them with them immediately. This way you still have a nice pocket money left on the furniture and home accessories that will not get a place in the new house.
– Get started with the tips you get from us in the field of preparation and packing. By following these tips you will not lose any items and every box will end up in the room where it should be. In this way you reduce the chance that you will buy new things in the period after the move because you cannot find the old ones.
